Some driver installers modify network settings and system files. As long as you downloaded from a trusted source (Official or Realtek), it is a false positive.

Try a different USB port, preferably a USB 2.0 port if you are using an older model. Compatibility Mode: If the installer fails on Windows 11, right-click the file, go to Properties > Compatibility

→ Search realtek-rtl8188su-driver.exe on FileHippo or MajorGeeks (check SHA256 before install).
