"Apocalypto" is set in the 16th century, during the time of the Mayan civilization. The film follows the journey of Jaguar Paw (played by Rudy Youngblood), a young Mesoamerican hunter who is captured by the Mayans and taken to the city of Tikal. The story revolves around Jaguar Paw's quest to survive the brutal Mayan rituals and find his way back to his village to save his family.
