While Patch 13 addressed many of the game's immediate issues, some players felt that it did not go far enough in addressing deeper problems, such as the lack of certain features that were considered standard in similar RPGs. While Patch 13 is a net positive, it is not a miracle worker. It cannot fix design flaws inherent to the game's core architecture.

For the PC community, Patch 13 was a double-edged sword. By updating the executable to the new EA App standard, it broke several long-standing script extenders and mods. While the game runs better "vanilla," modders have had to play catch-up to restore the QoL features (like an inventory manager) that BioWare still hasn't fully implemented.
