Thando said nothing. He just looked. He let emphliso pass from his gaze into Sipho’s. He did not know if it worked that way. But he hoped. He hoped that if Sipho saw himself — a murderer, a man with ash on his hands and a child’s ghost following him forever — maybe, just maybe, he would choose differently.
