The (መዝሙረ ዳዊት), or “Psalms of David,” holds a central place in the spiritual life of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Unlike the Western arrangement of 150 psalms, the Ethiopian tradition includes an additional 151st psalm, attributed to David after his victory over Goliath.
