Prison Break (Season 1) follows Michael Scofield, a structural engineer who deliberately gets himself incarcerated at Fox River State Penitentiary to help his brother, Lincoln Burrows, escape. Lincoln is on death row after being convicted for murdering the brother of the Vice President; Michael believes Lincoln was framed and uses an elaborate escape plan tattooed on his body.

Michael bluffs a mental breakdown to get into the psych ward, where he finds an old drainage pipe leading outside. Meanwhile, Veronica gets closer to the truth, retrieving a deleted voicemail that proves Lincoln was framed.

Michael runs chemical tests on the plumbing. Sucre becomes the first ally, though he doesn’t yet know the full plan. T-Bag begins sniffing around Michael’s motives. Outside the walls, Lincoln’s son, LJ, gets tangled in the conspiracy.
