The "Tango" (単語 – Word) books by Atsuko Tonomura are the gold standard for JLPT prep. While sold as books, "Tango N3" and "Tango N2" together cover roughly 6,000 words. You can find digital samples or companion PDF summary sheets online.
The best PDFs show the word in (食), Hiragana (た), and optionally Romaji (ta). Romaji is a crutch, so the best PDFs hide it or put it in a separate column.
